Gogo Gloriose Performs in Uganda as Her Song “Burudi of Jesus” Becomes a Surprise Gospel Hit

Kampala, Uganda – July 20, 2025

Rwandan gospel singer Gogo Gloriose is making waves in the East African gospel scene after her song titled “Burudi of Jesus” went unexpectedly viral — even though the title was a result of a language mistake.

Gogo talked about her life

The song, which was intended to be called “Blood of Jesus”, was mistakenly titled “Burudi of Jesus” due to Gogo’s limited English skills at the time. Instead of harming its success, the unique title actually helped it gain attention online, and the song is now being widely played and praised for its powerful spiritual message.

On the night of July 20th, Gogo performed live in Kampala, Uganda, during a gospel concert that began at 10:00 PM (local time). The event drew a large crowd, including top Ugandan media personalities, and her performance of “Burudi of Jesus” received an enthusiastic response.

According to a member of Gogo Gloriose’s management team responsible for media relations — known as “Bikemu wa Yesu” — the concert in Uganda is just the beginning.

“We are planning more concerts in the region,” said Bikemu wa Yesu. “And eventually, we’ll organize full concerts dedicated solely to Gogo and our team’s work.”

After the show, Gogo shared her reflections with local journalists:
“I made this song from my heart. I didn’t know much English then, but God uses even our weaknesses to reach people. Now I’m learning, and I’m grateful for the love people are showing me.”

Gogo Gloriose is quickly becoming one of Rwanda’s promising gospel voices. Her story — of humble beginnings, sincerity, and unexpected breakthrough — is resonating across borders.
