The government congratulates all the teachers on Teachers’ Day. The government reminded them that they should develop themselves.
It’s a two years ago, the Government of Rwanda increased the teacher’s salary, where the salary of a high school diploma (A2) went from 57,639 Frw, an increase of 50,849 equal to 88%, which means that he is paid 108,488 Frw. The salary of an A0 graduate went from 176,189 Frw to 70,195, equal to 40% which means he is paid 246,384 Frw. Regarding the salaries of school principals, the Principal of Secondary, General Education or TVET (Vocational and Technical), is paid 314,450 Frw which is an increase of 58%. A primary school principal went from 101,681 Frw to a salary of 152,525 Frw which is 50%. Vice-principals including academics and morals rose from 176,189 Frw to 283,656 Frw, while vice-principals in charge of studies in vocational schools went from 136,895 Frw to 283,656 Frw.
